Know the Score and the Score WILL Improve
In life and business, one of the most powerful forms of clarity comes from understanding exactly where you stand. A client recently reminded me of a phrase his mentor shared early in his career: “Know the score, and the score will improve.”
This statement carries deep truth. When you stop avoiding your reality and instead face it with honesty, neutrality, and intention, you create space for growth. Avoidance breeds drift. Clarity creates momentum.
Knowing the score means understanding what’s working and what isn’t. It means acknowledging your current habits, patterns, finances, responsibilities, emotional energy, and priorities—not with judgment, but with awareness.
As you move toward the new year, this is the perfect time to check your score and create your scorecard for 2026. Ask yourself:
• Where am I right now, honestly?
• What results did I achieve this year?
• What habits supported me and which ones sabotaged me?
• What do I want to create in 2026?
• What metrics matter most?
Clarity establishes direction. When you begin the year with a defined scorecard—clear goals, measurable benchmarks, and intentional focus—you step into 2026 with strength and confidence.
Know the score, and the score will improve.
And as always, it all starts with clarity.
